How to resume windows update?

Hi, I'm using windows XP pro. I recently run windows update and have downloaded about 60%. Then i pause it and disconnect from the internet (using 56k). The icon in the task bar is gone. But the next time i restart my pc and reconnect to the internet, it won't resume the download. It's just like nothing happen. I have done this before, and it can resume after i reconnect to the net. But not this time.

Is there anyway for me to manually resume the update? And where was the updated downloaded to?

try reconecting to the windows update site and select the same updates it shod find the partial download and continue
