Floppy disk problem

Problem system is XP Home, and the hdd is formatted in the NTFS format. It can write to a floppy and then recover the info from that floppy, but no other PC can recover the info off the same floppy. Nor can it recover info off a floppy written by another PC. Any ideas greatly appreciated.....Trev

do you have a windows 98 boot floppy if so restart your computer set the bios to boot first from the flopy and put in the boot disk dos it boot to the a: ? if it dont its a flopy drive problam if it boots then remove the disk and reboot to windows and post back with results

XP/W2K have problems with floppies. Floppies formatted with W2K can often not be read in W9x systems. You might look at this thread for more info.
