Possibility to print files in a directory
Hi there,
I wanted to know if it's possible to print out a list of files in a certain directory? If so how can I do this? PiC |

If you have a printer on the parallel port, open up a command prompt:
Start/Run/Command dir c:\directory_name > lpt1 This directs to your printer. |

I have an USB printer. Does this work as well with that LPT1 command?

I tried it out, but it gives me the option to search on the internet for a suited program or to browse through the available apps on my HDD. Any ideas hwo to solve this?
I have an HP Deskjet 3820 btw. The specific directories contains MP3's. I wanted to print out a playlist sorted by filename. Maybe I'll just go back to Winamp 2.xx. If somebody comes up with another solution to print out lists of files via another way than Winamp, I'd be glad to hear it. My holiday starts within a couple of hours, maybe I'm not able to respond in a few hours. I'm of to the Italian Alps , I'm really looking forward to wander around in the mountains with my girlfriend.PiC Last edited by PilotinCommand; 08-17-2003 at 07:20 AM. |

Better late than never. Just found a little FREEWARE program that prints out your directory listing, w/wo recursive sub-directory listings, to Notepad and then you can print from there. Neat, tidy, fast, efficient, simple.

Mihov Index Maker (Free) makes indexes in HTML with links that work to open the document, file, program, or media.
He also has quite a few other handy free programs http://www.mihov.com/eng/#im |
