Screensaver Password Lockout
How can you reset the screensaver password in Win 98SE if you don't know the current password?
One of the users in a small office network that I "maintain" has told me that another person used her computer and set a screensaver password. She's had this problem since Monday and only reported it to me today. She says she's just been doing a cold boot to regain access. Thanks. |

Under Win98SE I think you just choose to change the password, and then type in a new one.
I don't think you actually need to know the old one if I recall correctly. David. |

Thanks. I'll check it again and see if you're correct. Whenever I go to that office, I just hope to fix a couple of problems and then I'm out -- last night I worked on something a bit higher up on the priority scale. It's too easy to spend all night working on all of their issues.
