Windows XP won't boot up

My cousin is running a p-4 2.4Gig system that he bought from MDG a couple of days ago. He installed Norton Corporate edition V7.0 on the system even after it said during the instal that it was not compatable....bone-head! anyway I went over to unstal it, it wouldn't unistal from the control panel or using the uninstal from the program list so I downloaded the Rnav.exe unistall tool and ran it, when it was done it said the system needed to be restarted I clicked yes and the system froze, I turned off the system and when I turned it back on it just went to the Win XP blue screen and stayed there. I tried booting into safe mode, I tried booting to the last known working date etc.... I can't get the freaking thing to boot. Does anyone know how I can fix this thing. Oh ya, he doesn't even have a 3.5 floppy, so I can't even use a startup disk.
Please help

The XP CD is bootable and has the tools you need to reformat/re-partition/reinstall/repair the operating system. All you have to do is put it in the drive and boot up.

Of course, if it doesn't boot from the CD, you'll have to go into the BIOS (Setup) and change the boot order to put the CD drive first.

If the computer came with a Restore or Recovery CD, use that. Those usually have pretty clear instructions so just read each screen as it comes up and make your choices.

If it's a straight Windows XP installation CD, if you want to reinstall Windows, don't choose the repair option the first time it's presented...it'll ask if you want to use the Repair Console. Tell it you want to install Windows and it will finally give you the choice to reinstall, and that's the one you take.

Whatever you decide to do...given that the computer is only a few days old, I'd probably wipe it clean and start over...take that Norton install disk away from your cousin.
