Ok, I got to a screen asking me whether I wanted to delete the partion, I have ME on here to write over it or delete it, what should I do? It says it's not recommended to have to Operating Systems.

If you're doing a clean install, then you can just delete the partion. The install will then ask you about creating a new partion. Just accept the default size if you aren't doing a dual boot. It will then format the drive. Once again if you aren't dual booting, formating using NTFS is fine.

I have the Upgrade of XP, so just write over it instead of deleting?

Do you still have your ME install disk? If so then you can just write over it and at one point the install will ask you for your ME disk. If you don't have your ME disk then you'll need to do an upgrade instead of a clean install.

Yup, it asked me to verify if I had it, popped in and then it asked me if I wanted to delete the partion that was there or over write it.

Then you're good to go. Just go ahead and delete. You did get all of your important files backed up right?

How do I back them up? Is that so I could just open them once I have XP on here?

Okay, I'm just talking about any documents, photos and such that you want to save. It you do a clean install, everything will be gone.

Not really. What happens if I just write over the partion and don't delete it?

Honestly, I always do a format whenever I install an OS. I've never overwritten an existing installation. I just think that it's better to work from a clean slate.

Alright, I'm going to do it right now, and I'll be back either after or tomorrow depending if my ISP asks for my account number.
