Question which XP SP1 or SP1a ?

Whats the differnce between

WIN XP PRO w/Service Pack SP1a and WIN XP Pro w/Service Pack 1 ?

but why was

"Windows XP SP1a is the same as Windows XP SP1 except that the Microsoft virtual machine (VM) is removed in SP1a." JVM removed?
