Boots to XP screen then goes crazy
Asking this for a friend because he can't get past the XP screen. He turns the computer on, it gets to the XP screen where the bar with the moving blocks is. The movement stops and the screen goes to crazy colors, lines, etc. He tried safe mode. Got to the point of selecting the person to log on and when clicked, it does the same crazy stuff. This description is based on what he told me. Any ideas I can pass along? Anyone seen this one? Thanks much.

He says he hasn't changed anything lately that might have affected drivers. He has started in safe mode but got to same problem.
