In Explorer tools/internet options....I get an error that says I can't go there. How do I change that?

2.

In xp pro trying to get the firewall going but it says to restore, but I don't have the restore on and have not saved a restore point. How do I get the firewall back?

Are you the system administrator? Both of your questions sound as if you may be locked out.

For the Internet Explorer problem - do you have Spybot installed? If so, go to the "Immunize" section of Spybot and see if the boxes at the bottom dealing with IE's options are checked. If so, uncheck them and that will give your access to IE's options back.

For the XP firewall problem - Go to Control Panel>Network Connections, right click on the active internet connection, go to Properties>Advanced tab and there you can turn the firewall on or off.

How did you ever find that ? Thanks.I also found that you can get to the options by going to view/privacy report/seatings.
