Boot-Up Splash-Screen
On Xp, are you able to change the bootup screen in the same manner as you could on 9x PC's. Im talking about the XP Logo and moving dots, or the "Windows 98" screen with the blue/silver bar underneath it.
In WIN9x if you opened up "startup.ini" (i think, or if not, something with a ".ini" file extension) as a bitmap file, you could change it to what you wanted as long as it was within a designated resolution. Can this be done on XP? |

I believe what you say can be done. I use a program called Boot XP. It makes it easy.

Or you could go Start--Run--type in 'msconfig'--BOOT.INI-- then check the /SOS box to display some informative stuff upon boot up.
