Video Files

No matter what file type it is, I can't watch a video in IE. I click on the link and it takes me to an error page that says bad DNS or something or other. When i try to play an online game like pool in yahoo, it won't load the applet. it just sits there. I do belive these to things are related. I have tried seeing if my file player might be screwy, in which case it is not. I have also reloaded java and thats not it either. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

ok im running XP and using IE 6. When ever im on ANY site to watch ANY type of movie/video file, it opens up another window that says, "Can not display page blah blah blah something about the DNS server not located. If I download the movie/video file on the comp, then it works fine. My 4 or 5 diff players can watch it.
