Talking Can I change my manufacturer name?

Looking around in ASUS probe I find a section called "system" that contains values for manufacturer, product name, etc... Since this is a custom build they all say "To be filled in by OEM".

This reminds of a thread a long time ago on how to change the info and picture in windows System Information.

There is really no purpose to changing these values but I am just wondering if anyone knows how so I can customize a bit more?

Most of those values are in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version section of the Win9x Registry. You can also find where they are stored by typing in that exact phase in the "Find" menu of Regedit and let it find those keys for you. They'd be alphanumeric, you'd just replace them with whatever text you'd like (using Modify) If you're rusty on using the Registry editor, it has pretty decent help files, might want to review before making changes.
