Save some cookies,delete rest ?
Can I create a separate folder or in some other way preserve some cookies like from Pcmech and other ' friendly 'sites I visit regularly, and not delete them when I delete all cookies via
IE ' internet options ' ? So I don't have to log in repeatedly. (Win98SE ) Thanks. |

Hi Parangles,
You can't do it through folders, but there are many cookie management programs available that let you control which cookies to keep and which to delete. |

DrZ, thats why I posted this
I was deleting some of the dozens of mini freeware programs that I have accumulated, and got to ' karens cookie viewer'. Couldnt I clean out the Windows cookie folder, logon to the few sites I am talking about, and then copy those to a new: " logon cookies" folder and then paste them into Cookies, every week or whenever I purge the cookies file? Man its a good thing I'm retired, between running spyware, adaware, antivirus, defragmenter, scandisc, regclean, mailwasher, etc etc I hardly have time to use the darn PC.

I gave it a try and windows won't let you paste them in the temporary internet files folder.

I run SpyBot and it identifies tracking cookies that I delete and save the legit friendly ones.
