Direct boot to application
Is it possible to program Win98 to boot directly to an application? I know this can be done with Win3.1. I have my brothers machine set-up to boot to Word and open a document.

Perhaps the easist way in Win98 would be to put a copy of the shortcut icon for that program into the "Startup" folder in your Start/Programs menu. Right-click on the program you wish to have start at startup, select "Copy", then go to Start/Programs/Startup, click on Startup to select it, right-click and select "Paste".
You can reboot to test it. . . . Gary [. . . and changing it back is as easy as removing the shortcut icon from the Startup folder . . . the other way to do this is to use Task Scheduler, but not everyone likes to have it running, since it does use a few system resources] |
