NDIS error??? Need expert.

I just built my new PC and loaded on it Windows 98 Operating System. The load went fine. When I turn on my computer I get the nice blue Windows screen and then following that- the error message:

While initializing devise NDIS:
Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer.

I restart my computer and the screen comes up that asks you how you want to start your computer. Normal, Safe Mode, ect. I can start it fine in Safe Mode but not normal...
Any ideas? Thanks,
Andrew

If this is a new build, and you are using Windows 98 (all editions), and your cpu is 2.1 ghz or above, you'll need to apply a patch http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;312108

Let us know if that's not it.
