Slow Win2k

Anybody know any tips and tricks to speed up windows 2K sp4

I have a old Compaq Laptop running a P3 650 and 128mb RAM
everthing seems very slooooooooow....

I know adding more ram will help but im poor

When was the last time you did a defrag? If not awhile, go ahead and do so. Also, stop any services that may be running that you don't need. You can get a guide here >> http://www.blackviper.com/Win2k/servicecfg.htm I have also heard that you can disable 'indexing' on your drives. Might speed you up a bit, you can right click on C: and disable this feature, and Add/Remove to remove it completely from your box. Virus Scan and SpyWare scan as well.
