Disable hardware device question
Okay, a breif description.
I have 2 hard drives, one 160GB and one 40GB. I want the 40GB drive to be a backup drive, just in case anything happens to my othe drive, like some sort of corruption or virus. My question is, is it enough to just diable the hard drive via the device manager, would this stop virii and corruption? Or would i be better unplugging the hard drive after every time i backup my files? Thank, Phoenix Cade |

You'd be better off disabling the drive in your BIOS.

I personally pull both cables when I do this. My unit is easy enough to get to and open. I like to know its not using any resources.
