Modem not working unknown brand!

I have a gateway computer and Im not sure of its model but I do know that this is a very compact computer. Its a desktop modle that has 1 cd rom drive and 1 flopy drive slot on the comp and just 2 PCI slots. This computer is rather small. Im having some issues with windows XP on this machine. The modem is integrated and in the device manager it says unknown modem. And I have no info on the computer.. I wondered if there is a universal modem driver for this comp?.. I dont know all I know is its integrated I need drivers and I can not come up with a brand name. PLEASE ASSIST!! HELP!

There should be a sticker somewhere on the case with a serial number or service code number. Enter than into the approrpriate form on Gateway's site and it should then take you to the exact specs for that computer.
