I need some help.
I'm getting a blue screen on my PC, and I don't have a clue what the problem is. Here is what it says: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps. The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor or visit http://www.hardware-update.com for an updated BIOS. If you are unable to obtain an updated BIOS or the latest BIOS supplied by your vendoris not ACPI compliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed - it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue your installation. Technical information: *** STOP: 0x000000A5 (0x00000011, 0x00000008, 0xF89C90C0, 0x0100000C I have no clue what that means. Nor do I know when to press the F7 key. Can anyone help me understand what happened? I didn't change anything on my PC, so why did I get this error? |

It means you a new BIOS possibly. Unless you can try that thing with f7 thing just press f7 when you boot when the system see what that does for you. New bios means you need i believe to get a new bios chip but 100% i aint. I'm sure you will get more information from other users. |

I got it worked out.
The only thing I could figure that could have caused it was when I updated to the newest Nvidia drivers. That was the only thing I had changed. Then I was getting errors during my reformat of Windows, and the problem there was a scratched XP disk. Thanks for the info guys.
