Tried to install multiple OS - Messed Up
I just finished the install of Red Hat 9 and am not sure what I did but I have a couple of questions. My first question is, is I used the automatic partitioning and thought that I did it correctly because I wanted to be running multiple OS, I had XP on and won't to be running both of them, but when it starts up it goes directly to Linux. I think it may have deleted everything I had on my hard drive including all my files, xp itself, I mean everything. Is there a way to find out if xp is still installed and how do I run Xp opposed to Linux. I had installed PowerQuests BootMagic but it is not running that first.
And my second problem is, when I do try to run the Red Hat OS it goes through the text scroll and then says something about setting kernel to init or something along those lines, and will not go any further. So, I am really stuck because I can't get anywhere. Please help me with this problem, I am desperate. |

You could try putting the hard drive in another computer and search to see if there are any windows things or if you find your files
