hey guys i had posted b4 but i got very few responses.
So let me update u guys.... i tried to use the windows disk to repair windows but when i tried it did not work it seems that whenever I tyoe in a command i get an invalid entry message but i'm positive that i am writing the entries right, its not that hard to write DIR. I'm thinking that it is a virus or something that I dont know about.

If you're using the WinXP CD, why do you need to type in any commands? Are you at a command prompt?
In BIOS, do you have the first boot device set to the CD-ROM? Is the boot virus thing enabled? If it is, disable it. Cricket
