Window is off the screen.
I'm relying on some of you "old" time computer users for help with this.
On my computer at work, with XP Pro, I have a window that is completely off the screen, above the top of my monitor. I have tried different resolutions to try to get it back. I know it is there because I can hit the help and the help window pops up way on the top edge of the monitor. I can maximize the window from the taskbar for full screen, but you can't regulate the size of a maximized window. The monitor adjustment won't work because it is actually somehow off the screen field altogether. Now to my point......I used to have this problem every once in a while in old Win 3.11 and there was a keystroke sequence you could perform to bring all "hidden" or off screen windows to the center of the screen. It was something like "CTRL + W" or something similar. Can anyone remember this. I hope it works with XP. Thanks,

Can't remember a secret key, but switch to the window using Alt + Tab, then hit individually: Alt, then Spacebar, then "m" (without the quotes). Then you will be able to use your arrow keys to move the window around and get it back into view.

Yes, it did work!
Still can't figure out how the window got COMPLETELY off the view screen. I had to hold the arrow down for some time to get it to come down to the top of the screen. Then I could size it to my preference. Thanks, |
