To stop the random restarts, go to My Computer > Advanced > Startup and Recovery Settings and uncheck the Automatically Restart checkbox.

No its not the worm coz i fixed that..

yes I had recently tried installing my Audigy2 SoundBlaster Platinum .. i had trouble installing it..when i put the CD in..it would say " No sound card detected"..so i tried putting the card on different PCI slots till I found one that worked.. installed it..

but when i open hardware manager.. it still says " Multi Media Audio controller" with a yellow question and exclamation mark(s)..even though the sound card works.. i tried right clicking it and re-installing drivers.. it wouldnt find any..

and I think this causes my PC to randomly restart which aggravates the hell out of me..coz most of my classes this semster require me to do online tests and quizes and homeworks.. some dont allow me to continue or retake the test if the pc restarts or the net disconnects..so i have to explain that my pc randomly restarts which makes her kinda doubtful or less helpful the next time : /
