folder lock....

Hi,

is there a way i can LOCK a folder from another user on XP pro (not just hide it)?
eg only I (the administrator) can c and go into the folder and no other user (guest/other power user etc..).

i know there r prg out there but can it b done without them?

Sure, you can just right-click on the folder and twiddle with the Security settings to only allow certain users to access the folder.

If you don't realy feel like dealing with folder securities you can also download a program called "Folder Guard" This is a nifty litle thing It can hide and do pretty much anything with a folder or a file. It will hide a folder from any user or ghost it you can have it either state a manual message or you can add one. It's a small installation file I can give to you if you like...

Definetly use the securtiy settings. Why load additional software that the OS can handle? Besides, the more you mess with the securities the better you learn the product.
