Video driver trouble after upgrade

I upgraded from Windows 98 to Win2K Pro. Now, Win2K starts up and right after the splash screen the monitor goes blank. I can boot in to Safe Mode, but don't know how to install the driver from here. In device manager, only the "plain vanilla" VGA device is available and "Update Driver" is grayed out. How can I install a driver without using Device Manager?

Download the drivers for the video card and just run the installer file in safe mode.
