Win 98 Startup screen
Hi,
on my friend's Gateway PC, I recently installed a new hard drive. After some initial problems, everything seemed to be OK. However, upon starting Windows 98, there is a "line" across the middle of the screen. The bar at the bottom that moves across seems to have transferred to the middle of the screen. Is this a problem with Windows or the display driver. Thanks in advance! Eoin |

Is there any other problem with the video while in Windows?

no, there doesn't seem to be any evident video changes within windows. something like this happened my cousin who had win95. every time he booted up, the start up screen had the inverse of the proper colours and was all over the place. it still booted but its just annoying you know?!
