Lost my XP key

My mother got mad because I didn't want to clean my room. So, I told her if she wanted it clean she could do it. Well, she did, and in the process of cleaning she through away a stack of papers. In that stack was my XP product key.
So here's my problem, how do I find out what my key is in case I need to reinstall windows?

Open Regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT \CurrentVersion. Look at ProductId. The CD Key is digits 6 thought 15.
Clean your room!

I gave this a try and the product ID is numeric.

Product Key is what Bluematrix wants and this is alpha numeric

Hope you have your reciept cause this I think is the way to go
