Question remote computing

I have recently started doing a lot of work from home and i have been writing work to disks and emailing it backwards and forwards to keep things up to date... I wondered if anyone could reccommed any software or methods of allowing me to remotly access a computer that is not connected to the internet but i can dial the phone number that the computer is connected to and the pc will respond and allow me to securly access the data and tools that are on the machine...

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If I havent given enough info about my setup please ask and I will add more.

PS: the pc that has the data is win98se and the pc i am running at home has winXP. If it is not possible to do what i want with this setup suggestions for win98 to win98 or winxp to winxp will do.

Thanks

Adrian

PcAnywhere will allow you take full control of another pc.

Netmeeting that comes with Windows would do this too.
