automatic alarm-function in Windows 98?

do you know if there is an automatic alarm-function in Windows 98?

You can schedule just about anything in Task Scheduler: I've never checked to see if you could schedule a "sound event" - or perhaps open MediaPlayer & a sound file. Probably couldn't hurt to try it.

There are probably some shareware or freeware utilities around if all you need is a timer. If it's a certain sort of alarm you need, post again, maybe someone will know. (For example, if you need an overheat alarm, most recent motherboards have one built into the Bios)
