File wont delete

hey gang,

i downloaded a folder that has a virus on it and it wont delete. it says that it is being used. it has a dialer virus in it. does anyone know how to delete this?

Have you tried deleting it from Safe Mode?

You can often delete it from the command prompt using the del command. Sometimes you also have to change the attributes using the Attrib command.
So try:

attrib -R -S -H "c:\pathtofile\filename"
del "c:\pathtofile\filename"

You don't need the " around the filename unless the filename is long or has spaces in it.
