How to config PC to 'Shut down'?

Hi i am running win 98SE. When I go to shut down my PC, it will only go thru' the 'restart' process. Without actually shutting down i.e. displaying the 'shut down notice' at the end of the closing of all running programs etc.

Also, on my P3 Win2000 when I shut that down it actually turns OFF the PC at the end the process. Can this be achieved with WIn 98SE?

tks

Hi kbaasit,

Look through the Windows Shutdown Troubleshooter for a possible solution.
