WindowsME Passwords
I am in somewhat of a dilema. I have never encountered this before. I have networked my pc running windows xp and my daughters pc running windows me through a hub. Everything works just like clock work except for whenever the pc running windows me boots up, I get a password prompt for the network (which is correct) and password prompt for windows logon.
Why and how can I fix this? Thanks |

Look in control panel->users I think. Seems like I recall there being a "sync" option. (one logon for both)

Try going to Network Connections in Control Panel. You'll find a drop down for password selection. Select Windows Network instead of MS client. I may not have the wording exactly right, but it's the second one listed, Windows, that you want.

WindowsME Passwords
I checked both your suggestions and nothing. There was no sync in users and in the network there was no option for passwords. It does show the network and windows logon selections and all the drivers and what not that are loaded. Still brings up both password prompts.

Ok, since that didn't work, try this link. I had to use this method on the last ME machine I worked on after reloading ME.
