I just downloaded a bootdisk for a friend. The OS is ME. It gave me a choice of OEM or custom with no Ramdrive. What is the difference, and when would you use one over the other?
Thanks!

Suspect that OEM duplicates the 98 version with ramdrive holding some transient programs that you need for troubleshooting.
Custom with no ramdrive probably holds you to just the 8 or so programs that are on the root of A:. You should be able to figure it out. Do a directory of a: while in custom and the same for a: and D: while in OEM. You'll see the difference. |
