Download Manager

I want to uninstall, or at least disable, the download manager that is built into Windows. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this.

Do you mean the critical updates downloader?
If so -
Right click on My Computer > Properties > Automatic Updates tab > Uncheck the first box (Keep my computer ......)

Not the update downloader. The download manager that comes up when you clik on anything to download from the internet.

XP doesn't have a built in download manager...do you mean you want to disable downloading anything?
