Download Manager
I want to uninstall, or at least disable, the download manager that is built into Windows. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this.

Do you mean the critical updates downloader?
If so - Right click on My Computer > Properties > Automatic Updates tab > Uncheck the first box (Keep my computer ......) |

Not the update downloader. The download manager that comes up when you clik on anything to download from the internet.

XP doesn't have a built in download manager...do you mean you want to disable downloading anything?
