Monitor gone crazy!
I just logged on to my windows XP computer then all of a sudden things appeared rotated 90º Clockwise. I checked the monitor settings if there was an option of restoring it back to the normal position but no success. How do I go about restoring the monitor display?

have you installed any new software or downloaded anything suspicious off the net...this sounds like a virus I seen a while back...

Yes the start button is now at the top left corner of the screen and even the mouse direction has been affected too...as in if i move my mouse up or down, on the screen it moves left to right.
I haven't installed any software lately and i have norton Antivirus too of which i just run a scan last nite. No virus was found |

Has the entire screen changed or just the mouse orientation and taskbar?
Do you have an NVidia based video card? If so, have you installed the Nvidia drivers - specifically there is a utility called NVRotate that will allow the screen to display in such a manner. Is it possible that you have this and someone has been fiddling around with the settings? |

Addendum: quite a few video card mfgers do have such features, check the advanced settings on your display properties as well.
