Monitor gone crazy!

I just logged on to my windows XP computer then all of a sudden things appeared rotated 90º Clockwise. I checked the monitor settings if there was an option of restoring it back to the normal position but no success. How do I go about restoring the monitor display?

Yes the start button is now at the top left corner of the screen and even the mouse direction has been affected too...as in if i move my mouse up or down, on the screen it moves left to right.

I haven't installed any software lately and i have norton Antivirus too of which i just run a scan last nite. No virus was found

Has the entire screen changed or just the mouse orientation and taskbar?

Do you have an NVidia based video card? If so, have you installed the Nvidia drivers - specifically there is a utility called NVRotate that will allow the screen to display in such a manner. Is it possible that you have this and someone has been fiddling around with the settings?

Addendum: quite a few video card mfgers do have such features, check the advanced settings on your display properties as well.
