Defragmenting windows 2000 OS

How do you defragment the hard drive in Windows 2000? Is there any precausions I should know before doing it? I am just trying to speed up my boot process a little and came across this trick. Is there anything I should worry about if I am going to do it?

Go to Program, Accessories, System Tools. It won't delete anything, it just moves everything around. It will definatlely speed up all processes, not just the boot process. Definatley something to add to your scheduled tasks.
