Have you tried this?I need help

I want to try this but I'm confused about the instructions.

Thanks to MS-MVP Kelly Theriot for this tip.

Open a Command Prompt window and leave it open. Close all open programs. Click Start, Run and enter TASKMGR.EXE Go to the Processes tab and End Process on Explorer.exe. Leave Task Manager open. Go back to the Command Prompt window and change to the directory the AVI (or other undeletable file) is located in. At the command prompt type DEL where is the file you wish to delete. Go back to Task Manager, click File, New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the GUI shell. Close Task Manager.

------------------

(Go back to the Command Prompt window and change to the directory ) How do you change the directory?I need details.Thank you
John

For example, to change the directory in the command prompt, type in [c:\] then [enter] to go your main hard drive, then type [cd\windows] or [cd windows] (they do the same thing) then [enter] to go to the Windows directory. While you're there and want go to a sub-directory in the Windows folder, type in for example [cd system] then [enter]. And lastly if you want go straight to the sub-directory, type in [cd\windows\system].

My directory names are just an example. You need to replace them in your case.

OK I did it another way.I simply dragged the undeletable folder in my Spybot shredder and that did it.I'm so glad I got the Spybot, what a great program that is.I STRONGLY recommend it.

Sorry it was my mistake at first, its supposed to be typing [c:] instead of [c:\]. Or yes you can do it that way.

Send a message via ICQ to Danny G
I had the same problem with a file. I managed to transfer everything else out of the folder and just deleted that.
