I ran the begining of win xp home setup and it got to a point where it told me that this portion was finished and it would reboot in 15 -14 -13 -12 -- etc seconds and that when it reboots if I press ENTER, I would continue the setup process.
Wen it rebooted i pressed enter on every screen to be sure, and on the last screen it actually did something .. it was "press enter to boot from CD ROM" so I did and it brought me right back to the begining of setup. I followed the instuctions part way untill it asked my what partition to install to - to make sure it really was the same. how do I continue thanx |

Once you start the install and format you don't "press enter to boot from CD ROM" following a reboot, this will start the whole setup over and you'll never get it installed. Just let it timeout after about 5 seconds and the install will continue.
