I reinstalled Windows 98 on my desktop to fix a problem, big mistake...now nothing on the computer works. I can't go online, play 3d games, or open up many applications. I reinstalled drivers for the 3d card but that still doesn't work. Is there any way to go back to the settings I had before I reinstalled (like a system restore)? Here's my desktop's specs (I am typing from a laptop):
P3 500mhz Ram 320 mb ram Cd burner, Dvd rom All-in-wonder 7500 (ATI) 2 HDs, one has the windows reinstallation changes, but don't know how to change them back. Thanks for reading. |

A big problem is that most people who willy nilly reload Windows don't realize they need a bunch of drivers and updates.
Take out the modem. Reboot the computer. Put it back in and try to reinstall it. That may connect you to the internet.
