I have lots of files. And I want to customize some folders so that I know which folders have completed files. I view explorer using the "list" mode. Is there some way I can put some check marks/mark the folders which I want? I know you can do it in thumbnails mode-where you place a picture in the folder, and the picture pops up. How about in list mode?

you can simply change the actualy program icon if you get icons to replace it. My entire desktop and documents folder is filled with customized icons so I can find things easier. It's not as simple as just checking things off unfortunately but it's the only way I know of. Get some icons (I recommend deviantart.com, that's where I got most of mine from) and then right click on a file, click properties, go to the "customize" tab and then click "change icon" (if you have XP it'll be near the bottom of the properties dialogue box).
Sorry there isn't a faster way (that I know of anyways, maybe someone else will drop in with a better suggestion)! |
