Run-Time Error 481 & Error accessing registry

I made a few changes on the registry. After that, i unmade the changes.

I run an application in Win2000 logged on as a particular user. After that registry change and unchange, i get that message whenever i try to run that application if the particular user doesn't have administrator privileges. If i grant administrator privileges to the user, the application runs just fine. If the user has "Power User" privileges, that message pops up and there is no way that the appliction will work.

I have a backup copy of the registry, but i can't import that too. When i try to importe the .reg file, i get another message: "Cannot import C:\....reg. Error accessing the registry.".

Now i need to either figure out the solution to either one of the problems. Can anyboy help?

thanks.
