os: windows xp
ok...every time I switch on my pc or restart i have to log in.
when I log in my settings and all are loaded, but I keep getting this message box with '16 bit windows subsystem' on the title bar and the message. . .'C:/PROGRA~1\symantec\S32EVNT1.DLL. An instalable virtual device driver failed Dll initialization. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.' And I presented with the option to 'Close' or 'Ignore' I'm sure it's because of old software pre installed on the hard drive or something... It does not effect the performance of my pc but it is damn annoying and I'd like to repair this...can any1 help please.... |

looks like some Norton Software is giving the greif, either uninstall completely or uninstall and try reinstalling to see if it cures the problem.

I suspected it may be something to do with Norton2003 but i also had Norton pre-installed.....but I do not have any of the original software...so I may need to sort it manually...??.......any help is appreciated
