mscoree.dll

I need to know where and how to get this file, when I run nortons win doctor I get a message that the this file mscoree.dll cannot be found so an error in win cannot be repaired any help would be greatly appreciated C/prog files/common files/install shield/professional/runtime/0701/intel32/dot net installer.exe

exact line is C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\0701\Intel32\DotNetInstaller.exe cannot access a necessary flie, mscoree.dll

Also look at this thread http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winme/t1040827010, be sure to click on the hotlink "Show all" (show all responses to the thread) --- some viruses require Microsoft's .Net framework to run. (Your Norton, if up-to-date, should find that = you can double-check things with an online antivirus scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com Sometimes having another antivirus scanner have a look can help).

If your system does have a legitimate program (not a virus) that needs that file, there is a link in that thread to a download page for that executable.
