How can I....?

Disable the hibernate and stand by function on my PC? I am using Windows ME and when I try to do large downloads and leave my PC without being used it goes into standby/hibernate mode when not being used thus meaning my download starts again when i come out of it but doesnt carry on whilst in standby

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Jay

right click anywhere on ur desktop...
goto the "screen saver" tab...
at the bottom should be "energy saving features of monitor"
click "settings"
power scheme = "always on"
system standby = "never"

the last two options (turn off monitor and turn off hard disks) have no bearing on ur d/l's. i have them on and d/l's still work fine. of course this is for win98, if you have winxp, it should be close or similar. Good Luck!
