i got a email from security@microsoft about a patch attachment they wanted me to install. they said it was serious with 500,000 users affected so far.
is this a scam or legit??? i don't use windows update since i install them myself at microsoft.com for this win98se pc so just how ms got my email is ?? anybody else get this email?? |

i didn't get it and im runnin 98. sounds like a scam. i have never known $M to send e-mails out and why would they? they would have to send out e-mails to millions of computers!

Yes it is a scam!!!
I have received that message four times across three different email accounts. The attachment is the virus W32/Swen@MM I belive. I checked it just to make sure, even though I only run Linux. |
