Appreciate some assistance.
Uninstalled Ahead Nero Media Player from CP>Add/Remove Programs. This program had 4 entries/files in the C:\_Restore folder of Windows Millennium: DISKCFG, SRDISKID, VxDMon, and VxDMon.cfg. Even after removing the program from CP, and also disabling System Restore and rebooting PC, the darn files are still there. Have no clue as to why these files would be in the _Restore folder to begin with, but would sure like to find out how to get rid of them. Any attempt to delete them results in: "Cannot delete xxxxx. Access is denied. The source file may be in use." Thank you in advance for the help. |

Disable system restore, boot to safe mode, then delete.

Boot from a boot disk and do it from DOS.

Thanks for the info.
Will keep it for future reference and use. Returned the computer to the friends I was helping out. Next time at their home, will give it a whirl. |
