Messed up fonts?
A little history. I ran Spybot, Adaware and Cyberscrub. When I rebooted and the desktop screen came up, I noticed that all the icons and words were much larger than I had had them before.
I messed around a little myself to try to fix them but to no avail. To tell ya the truth, at this point I don't really remember what all I tried although I may have been messing with some different fonts. I called my local PC guru and he had me right click on the desktop, go to properties, settings and change my screen size back to 800X600. This "seemed" to work so I hung up with the tech. But now I notice that although the icons and words are much closer to the way they were before, they are actually a little bit smaller than I had had them. This isn't too annoying and I could probably live with this but what I can't live with is this...... On pages where there are smaller words, the individual letters in those smaller words are distorted, as in some parts of the letters seem to be missing, so much so that I can hardly read some of those words. As an example, on the page that you are reading right now, towards the top left where you see my moniker Huh?, right underneath that it reads Member and then has a word in parenthesis that I can't even read. Those words are distorted. Under that where it says, Registered: Nov 2002 Location Posts Those words are also messed up, as are pretty much any of the small words like that, no matter where they are on the page. What's wrong and how can I fix it? Last edited by Huh?; 10-25-2003 at 11:28 AM. |

Well, I just accidently figured it out myself. While trying various things I stumbled across this series of events.....
Went to View, then Text Size and noticed that is was on "smallest". Just for the heck of it I put it on "smaller" instead and my problem with small letter distortion is now fixed.
