new install probs
This might should go in the internet forum, but I think it may be an xp problem.
I have built a new computer and installed a new hd as pri master and my old drive (with xp still on it) as slave. It installed and activated ok. I started burning cds, so I can eventually format the old drive, or at least delete the xp files and junk and just keep it for backing up work each day. When I tried to go online It did fine for a few minutes and then I got a msg..."This system is shutting down...initiated by NTAUTHORITY....reason RPC SERVICE terminated unexpectedly. It gives me a 60 second count down to close programs. Same thing every time....logs on ok then about 2 or 3 minutes it restarts. Anybody have any idea what the heck might be going on? Thanks!!, DR |

Thanks, I finally got it dnl'd and installed. Had to put zone alarm on to get it done. Then after a while zone alarm started giving me fits and had to uninstall it. found out I also had the w32.welchia.worm and had to remove that. But I'm finally zooming along (as best I can with a dial up) with windows fully updated and norton fully up dated and running a trial version of armor2net firewall. Now it's time to fire up AutoCAD and start paying for all of this stuff
![]() Thanks Again!! DR |
