98se or 2000
AIDA32 says one of my computers is ready for windows 2000. What kind of performace increase would I see by upgradeing from 98se to 2000?

You would have less BSODs to start with.
If you are not playing old DOS games I'd go for it, Win2k is a far more stable system than 9X/ME, especially if you use NTFS.

In my opinion. 2K is a bit better than 98se. I have XP Home on my notebook and I want to throw it out the window. I'm putting Win 2K on my new build next month. Although 2K might take up a bit more space on your HDD, and take a bit more mem. Thats if you don't have alot of memory to start out with......POST your sys specs so it's easier

I wouldn't go back to 2000 from WinXP Pro. But I left Win2k Advanced Server in my mom's PC and it certainly has some features that beat XP. However, XP is more compatible than 2000.
