Question task manager won't open correctly

working on a computer and all of the users except for one can open task manager just fine. when this user (who is an administrator) opens it, all she gets is a window listing the users active, and there are no options at the top to close or shutdown, or other tabs to see processes, programs, the like. don't know why it would be just her. any ideas? thanks

now it beginning to look like something got deleted that may be related to the other problems, maybe some virus got to it but the scan did not detect it, you may be forced to do a repaire install of xp, if nothing else fixes it.

you might try a restore point too, that will fix a lot of problems.

also check the device manager for anything unusall.

just boot to the xp cd and select the repaire install, it will replace any and all bad and missing files without loosing any of your settings and data,

I personaly have never had to do it myself, but have told many others to do it and it worked just fine,

but I would if you can, run AVG and make sure there is no virus there first.

Sounds like it is in small footprint mode, try double clicking some where with in the border of the task manager
